The Bits and Pieces – As I Please – 7
Shameful attack on CJI B. R. Gavai – In a shameful and bizarre act of hate and perfidy at the highest pedestal of justice in the Supreme Court of India targeting CJI B. R. Gavai on October 6, the culprit, Rakesh Kishore, a member of the legal fraternity himself has shown the true colour of hate mongering currently prevailing in the
country and the society at large. It is a matter of concern and worry to each and every sane Indian; particularly when this act of hate has been inflicted in the name ‘Sanatan’ – it has been reported that Advocate Rakesh Kishore shouted slogans like ‘Sanatan dharma ka apmaan, nahi sahega Hindustan (India will not tolerate insult to Sanatan Dharma)’. While the entire country is outraged on the condemnable incident as conveyed by PM Narender Modi in his personal call to CJI Gavai and his X tweet but some of the so called Sanatanis are eulogizing Rakesh Kishore, if I go by the social media hosted by the vested interests. The Thekedars of Sanatan must read the pulse of people before it is too late. Apart from PM Modi, I have seen statements of the Congress Party leadership; Malikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi,
Priyanka Gandhi, CMs of Tamil Nadu and Kerala but surprising there is no comment from the RSS leadership and senior Ministers of GOI including the Law Minister Arjun Meghwal. I was expecting the entire judiciary would stand behind CJI Gavai and all the Judges of Supreme Court unequivocally condemn Rakesh Kishore and the thinking behind his action but that has not happened. Where are we heading? Only the time would tell. I have seen a viral video of Rakesh Kishore on his shameful act. Like Nathu Ram Godse, he is not repented of what he did. It shows that it was not a spontaneous out worst but a designed message. I only wonder as to why the Supreme Court and the other authorities have decided to let Rakesh Kishore go scot free. We must be cautious.

Greetings on Maharishi Valmik Jyanti – Today, October 7, is Maharishi Valmik Jyanti. I take this opportunity to greet my fellow citizens particularly the Valmiki community, one of the most depressed and backward communities of India both socially and economically. The society has not paid much deserved attention to their plight so far. Even the enabling and empowerment provisions
made in the Constitution of India for their upliftment by Babasaheb Ambedkar have not helped as expected. In the entrenched Manuwadi establishment, the Valmiki community is condemned to to undertake and do most of the dirty jobs of Safai Karamcharis. It is a matter of great regret and concern. Though it may not be a right occasion to raise a question which often comes to my mind about the historical fact of the matter that how come Maharishi Valmik came to become the Guru or icon of the so called Valmiki community yet I thought of sharing my curiosity to educate myself. Maharishi did not belong to the community. He, though a great saint, to my mind, apparently, did not do and write anything for the community. I would be happy to listen from any of my readers on the subject as a student of history to clear the cob-webs of my mind.
With Greetings to my Valmiki brethren on Maharishi Valmik
Jyanti.
